Visit to Vancouver
On 6th November, 2008 Julie and I went to Vancouver visiting Nicholas and his family.
Early morning at 7:00 a.m. we left home with Nicholas and Pui San going to Vancouver Downtown via Kingsway. We got off the SUV together Pui San near the Vancouver School Board where she works. As Nicholas drove off Pui San took us to the bus stop 98 B-line before she went into the school board building. Soon the bus came and we took the bus to Richmond Centre where we met Kim Hoi as scheduled.
Kim Hoi and his family Julie and I went to Empire Restaurant for dim sum and we have lot of dim sum there. It is the best place for dim sum here even compared with Toronto which is renowned for her Chinese recipes in North America. Price is excellent as we have 20 percent discount. Every body is entitled to have this discount if he/she ordered the food before 11:00 a.m.
Metrotown burnaby
We were then ready to start the day journey. The first place is a Chinese Temple in Burnaby. We walked through this magnificent buhddist temple visiting different chapels within her boundary before we left for our next destination.
Then we drove to Kim Hoi's house. It is a townhouse close to the airport just next to a school in Richmond. Kim Hoi recently bought this house downsizing from his previous monster house thus relieving himself from the muscle work of lawn mowing and snow shuffling as well as the savings in tax, insurance and utilities expenses.
The next stop is Metro Town of Burnaby. It is huge, beautiful and full of life. Her traffic and capacity make her the greatest shopping mall in British Columbia. People of different ethical groups come and spend half day here spending their money shopping and eating enjoying the leisure and excitement of Metro Town. We spent several hours here a liitle shopping here and there.
