My Home

new home 30 Gentry 046.JPGJulie and I moved in June 2010 to the bungalow pictured below.   It is about 5 minutes drive to Angus Glen and five minutes walk to the GO train station.  The house was over 50 years as it was built in 1958.    Before we moved in, we contracted some handy men to do the renovation.  A lot of tiny tinny works here and there.  With the bits and pieces of changes,  the old house has its  complete facelift inside out  including the roof and  basement.  The project took slightly over 1 month to finish.  We are glad that everything within the time table but a little bit over our budget.

To make the story short, both Julie and I like our new home in the renovated bungalow near Angus Glen Golf Course.  This should be our retirement home.   It is a retirement from the old job to a new endeavor... my e-business and blogging.    Enjoy your time here in my blog and don't forget to put your comments at the daily posts.  Your opinions are welcome as I do need your feedback to improve the blog making it more interesting and informative.

new home 30 Gentry 070.JPGI remember back in early 2008, Julie and I drove to West Village to have a peek of the latest development in this subdivision.   It is situated inside of the Angus Glen Golf Course at the intersection of Major McKenzie Drive East and Warden Avenue. There are already plenty of houses all over the beautiful landscape of the golf course.  As part of the acclaimed Angus Glen East Village Community, West Village brings a new sense of living to this prestigious landscape of golf courses and fine luxury homes.

During that visit, both of us fell in love with this village. Our hearts would go for it yet our minds told us to be cautious. We decided that It was best that we simply took a wait and see approach.

Then, I was not optimistic at all for the economy ahead. The second wave of the Swine Flu would further dampen the already fragile market which had been artificially bumped up. We had three consecutive quarters of national deficit in a row before economy entered into recession. To get out of recession, we need to have three quarters of national surplus in a row.

After much consideration, we decide to buy our existing bungalow instead of a new house at Angus Glen which is much more expensive for the same dimensions.    Our new home is not inside the golf course yet it is easily accessible within  5 minutes of drive.   Moreover, if we would like to spend a day enjoying the vibrant lifestyle of downtown Toronto, we can go by GO train which takes us less then five minutes on foot.   From the Go train station to Union Station downtown Toronto, it takes about 40 minutes.

Thanks for the Informative post.Interesting video.

Hello,

Andrew Hallinan here, internet marketing manager for Terra Vista of Citrus Hills here in Florida. We’re a baby boomer retirement

community here in Citrus County, Florida, and I’m emailing to see if we can’t help each other out.

As you know, Google really likes to see incoming links for web pages. Would you be willing to do a quick link exchange for

www.citrushills.com? If so, we'd be willing to actually do a write up about your website on our blog, www.terravistaretirement.com for

your website as well. I think that would really help drive traffic over to you.

Maybe you would even be willing to post an article for us on your website that links to us in an exchange for a link and write up about

your website on our blog?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

-Andy
